Craft
Spacing, type and motion get the same attention as the layout. If something is off by a pixel we fix it, because that's the part of the job that shows.
Who we are
Brenkai is three people who design and build websites. That's the whole company. There is no account layer, no sales team, and nobody relaying your feedback to someone you've never spoken to.
We started it because too many small-business websites are slow, awkward on a phone, and impossible to update without calling someone. Most of that isn't a budget problem — it's what happens when a site is assembled from a template nobody fully understands.
Take this site: plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, no framework and no build step. It loads fast because there is nothing extra in it, and when you hand it to another developer in three years, they can just read it. Bigger projects need more than that and we use more — but the first question is always what the site can do without.
We're deliberately small and we take on a small number of projects. If we're not the right fit for what you need, we'll say so early rather than take the work.
What we stand for
Spacing, type and motion get the same attention as the layout. If something is off by a pixel we fix it, because that's the part of the job that shows.
Performance is a design constraint, not a cleanup task. Every kilobyte on the page has to justify being there.
No jargon, no vanishing acts. You get straight answers about what something costs, how long it takes, and what we can't do.
Sites that work with a keyboard, a screen reader and a small screen. Not a feature we upsell — just how a site should be built.
